TERMS FOR SUBMISSION

Before submitting your contribution to the Ideas Project, please read and indicate that you accept these Terms for Submission, the Privacy Policy and the Site Terms. If you are accepting these Terms for Submission on behalf of a company or other entity as well as for yourself, please ensure that you have an appropriate authorization to do so.

RIGHT TO USE ANY SUBMITTED CONTENT

By submitting, and upon such submission of your contribution to the Ideas Project, including any and all information and/or material (hereinafter referred to as the "Content"), you acknowledge and agree that such Content shall be made available to the public at large through its publication on the Ideas Project site and accordingly you license and grant to Nokia a non-exclusive, royalty-free and free of charge, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, copy, modify, adapt, communicate to the public, make available, publish, translate, create derivative works of, distribute, and display such Content or any concept described in it throughout the world in any media, product and/service, without compensation, restrictions on use, acknowledgement of source, accountability or liability, and with waiver of all moral rights and rights of attribution, integrity and identity to the extent permitted by mandatory laws. You further acknowledge and agree that anyone is free to use and further distribute such Content or any part of it (including any underlying inventions) free of charge and any restrictions. The unrestricted license to the Content as granted above shall not, however, apply to patents or patent applications filed prior to the Content submission. If you know of any pre-existing patents or patent applications that may relate to the Content you have submitted, you undertake to promptly include a notice to that effect in your Content submission.

RULES FOR CONTENT SUBMISSIONS

You will not include any confidential information or ideas of confidential nature in your submitted Content. You further understand and agree that you are solely and fully responsible for any and all aspects of the Content submitted, including but not limited to its legality, appropriateness and non-infringement of third party intellectual property rights, and Nokia shall not be liable in any way for such Content. Nokia shall have no obligation to monitor any of the Content provided by you, but may do so and refuse publication of or remove any Content it views inappropriate or otherwise unfit for publication at its discretion. Further, with regard to any and all Content submissions, you agree that:

(a) you will not post, publish, transmit, distribute, or upload any Content through the Ideas Project site that is unlawful or fraudulent, or violates or infringes any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret or any other proprietary intellectual property rights of others. In connection therewith you represent and warrant to Nokia that your Content does not infringe the trademarks, copyrights, patents, or other intellectual property rights of any third parties;

(b) the Content will not contain any material that is unlawful, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or invasive of another person's right of privacy or right of publicity, or that Nokia may reasonably deem harmful, vulgar, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable with respect to race, religion, creed, national origin or gender, or otherwise unfit for publication;

(c) you will not send any such messages to any other user or Nokia that contain vulgar, abusive or otherwise inappropriate language;

(d) you will not, without first using reasonable efforts to scan and remove any viruses or any contaminating or destructive features before submitting any Content to the Ideas Project site, post, publish, transmit, distribute, or upload any information through the Ideas Project site that contains a virus, Trojan horse, "sniffer" routines, backdoors, worms, time bombs, bots, or any other harmful software code, file, program or programming routine, or other contaminating or destructive features;

(e) your postings or Content submissions shall not cause injury or harm to any persons or entities;

(f) you will not use the Ideas Project site to "stalk" or harass another person and your Content and use will not suggest or encourage to any illegal activity;

(g) your use of the Ideas Project site will not compromise the security or integrity of Nokia�s computer systems, networks or web site(s) or servers, whether by allowing intruders into the same, introducing viruses or other threats, imposing a disproportionate or unreasonably large load on the Ideas Project site or its infrastructure, or using any computer programming routine, file or device to damage or interfere with the operation of the Ideas Project site;

(h) you will not post, publish, transmit, distribute, or upload through the Ideas Project site any unauthorized or unsolicited bulk e-mail solicitations, chain letters, advertisements, marketing or promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", pyramid schemes or any other solicitations or communications, including without limitation spamming Nokia or other users of the Ideas Project site, or use the Ideas Project site to perform any data collection, extraction or mining or gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Nokia or any Ideas Project site visitor's computer system;

(i) you will not register with or otherwise use a false name, identity or e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, including without limitation Nokia or its licensors' personnel, falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, use another user's password (if applicable), forge headers or otherwise manipulate identification information to falsify or disguise the origin of any Content; and

(j) you will follow all applicable laws and regulations applicable to your use of the Ideas Project site and/or Content submission. Such laws and regulations include, without limitation, those governing copyright, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems.

Additionally, you agree that you will use good judgment and exercise discretion in choosing appropriate subjects and subject matter for any photo or video submissions to the Ideas Project site. Remember that privacy laws may protect individuals with respect to their being photographed or videotaped, so please respect the privacy of others by asking for and obtaining their consent to be photographed or videotaped, as well as for your submissions of photos or videos to the Ideas Project site.

PERSONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY YOU

Personal information submitted by you will only be used by Nokia in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and the Privacy Policy, for the purposes of administrating your participation in the Ideas Project and to contact you to communicate information relevant to your contribution. All personal information collected will be deleted and destroyed as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purpose.

MISCELLANEOUS

Nokia may choose to run promotions and/or contests based on Content submissions, in which you may be deemed eligible for a promotional gift and/or prize. Should you choose to accept such a promotional gift and/or award, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the payment of all applicable taxes, if any, as well as all costs associated with the gift and/or prize, including but not limited to operator subscription fees that are not included in the prize. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Nokia is nevertheless responsible for the lottery tax, if applicable. These Terms for Submission are governed by the laws of the state of California, USA. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nokia reserves the right at its sole discretion to amend, withdraw or revise these Terms for Submission at any time without notice and in such event Nokia shall not have any liability whatsoever.
