The role of handheld devices on education

I would love to see some great ideas regarding how we can embrace the upcoming technology to inspire young learners. I believe that students today do not have the practice of sitting and absorbing information in a passive way. The sage on the stage way of teaching is not effective. How can we prepare instructors to embrace technology to reach students. This is more of a question than an idea. But I would love to see what people have to say.

EPC and RFID technology for home and family.

Hi. Sorry for my bad English. The essence of my idea is to use the EPC or RFID tags at home to find household items. Because the tags are small in size they can be fastened to the important things a home (for example, the keys for the car keys to the house, watches and other items of small size are very often lost in a house or other premises) as a search engine, you can use your mobile phone Nokia. Then cite internet references. http://www.discoverrfid.org/your-questions/faq-on-epc-and-rfid.html http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/RFID #. D0.98.D1.81.D1.82.D0.BE.D1.80.D0.B8.D1.8F_RFID_.D0.BC.D0.B5 . just as a thought with all this global warming how much energy is put into making a phone, wouldn't it be sensible to allow phones that have been blocked for whatever reason to be opened somehow or after a certain period rather than being thrown away as in the long run it is beneficial to both companies and owners of mobile phones. as phones that have been blocked in the united kingdom can still be used in other countries.

DUALSIM++ the king of dual sim mobiles

i have heard some where that nokia is launching dual sim mobiles in india. i have designed a simple mobile to attract indians. At present in india the situation among mobile service providers is very hard.the tarriff plans iare day by day simplified. There are also new corporates to start their servuces. So that the service providers are attracting the customers by offering new connections at very low cost(almost free sometimes).although it costs less to a subscriber to take a new connection. The companys are giving first use talktime to the users free with new connections( E.G. new sim cost=5RS free talktime=100RUPEE). IN this situation the users interested in purchasing new sim and using the free talktime.after completion of free talktime they are throwing sim away by destroying it. But the design of mobiles is not satisfying them. at every time they bought new sim they have remove its backcover and remove battery. My idea is as you planning to launch dual sim mobiles just make it as a sensation by placing one sim holder as usual and place another sim holder in any side of mobile(JUST like memory card slot in your nokia 5130 Xpressmusic).so that they can insert an additional sim in less time, with ease. . I have asked more than 50 persons known to me that how the above idea could be.Everyone says that it is fantastic and they will try to buy if any company launch it.why don't you be the first person launching this type of mobile phone. it will definitely rockzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz the market..

Scheduling

I think that scheduling of emails and messages need to be added to the software. i.e i would like to be able to write a message whether it be an email or an SMS and have the option to schedule it to leave and a certain time. This would be an ideal app for people who work at night with associates who do not. Also, i would like to add scheduling to the silencer - set it to go back to general (not silent) at a chosen time in the morning (useful for people who forget to take the phone back of silent!)

Remote Breakdown

I was thinking that expensive handsets should have a 'remote breakdown' capability. If somebody's expensive handset gets stolen or snatched with no hope of ever getting it back, the owner could go to the manufacturer's website and log in to his registered account and click 'remote breakdown' button. So, no matter where the handset is, it'll cease to function. This will give the owner the satisfaction to get back at whoever stole the handset. In terms of implementing this idea the major challenge is for a cellphone manufacturer to remotely breakdown a handset in an overseas location. This could be resolved through an in-country agreement. Any one could register his expensive handset with his local cellphone service provider (T-mobile for instance). Now, if his handset gets stolen, he could log into his account with the manufacturer's website, select the name of his service provider (T-mobile), select the handset that he's registered and click 'remote breakdown'. If the handset is still within the country, it'll auto breakdown. The system will cease to function. The possessor will not be able to even turn it on, thus having no access to phone numbers and personal/business text msgs that could potentially compromise the original owner's privacy and security.

The economy is changing

Growth economics -- the 20th century, rape-pillage-and-plunder style of business -- has officially outlived its usefulness. What is emerging now is very different. Simplicity. Sustainability. Transparency. Connection/Networking. Small and manageable and human-sized. This is the microbusiness way. The 21st century has brought us to the microbusiness economy.
